A cuppa.

It never ceases to amaze me how slowing down helps the inside. We need to take moments of the day to relax and stay still. A cup of cinnamon tea, a clean smelling candle and dusted room has made this week feel not as tough. I find that in my most stressful moments I can calm the nerves with having a cup of tea and a maybe a quick nap.

Do share. What do you do to slow down? Netflix, yoga, taking a bath, baking, some like to clean? What helps you feel centered again?

  1. I love this post!
When life gets too crazy, I always love to bake sweets when the kitchen is empty of people. Or read. Or crotchet. Play guitar and write music. Mostly anything done in solitude.

  2. Tea is always a favorite for calming down. I also love to knit & read. And yes, I am one of those who finds cleaning as a stress reliever... I especially like to vacuum! I actually enjoy the process & a clean room makes me feel so much happier! :)

  3. Hot tea with a splash of cream for me! And a good, thought-provoking book. Also, starting the day with coffee and the Word. That's a big one.

  5. I'll make myself a cinnamon dolce latte (I'm a coffee girl) and read a good book. If I'm feeling a little restless, I'll usually hang a new picture on the wall or find some other way to decorate the apartment.

  6. Baths, candles, tea and taking time to sit down and laugh with my friends and family. Without those things I'd come unglued - especially the latter.
