Throw Off the Chains

"If you're going to be courageous, an example for all those who are ready to step into their power, then you must be willing to show the world all of who you are. You must have the guts to throw off the chains of modesty and mediocrity in order to be the light that the world needs."
Debbie Ford

I ran across this quote on joeycake, and it has inspired me immensely.

Throwing off the chains does, in fact, take guts. Guts that I have on occasion, but more often then not, I feel I don't have the courage to take the risks needed. Staying comfortable prevents growth, and achieving what you want means blind leaps of faith need to sometimes be taken.

Happy Thursday.

  1. I am a firm believer in doing things you are afraid to do. Nothing too big...you can build up to it. But little, frequent challenges are a must for growth. Also, it is impossible to imagine all possible scenarios in your future. You might as well open as many doors as possible and see what happens, right? Of course it is easier said than done, but it's easier to do when it becomes habit. I am slowly (very slowly) learning. Good thoughts, Hannah Margaret!
